My big fifth grader...his last year in Elementary school (sniffle). He was the most nervous of all of them, my responsible first born. On the second day when we were done with breakfast and ready to go with 15 minutes to spare he said, "Wow, Mom, we're doing really good this year!"
Of course, it was only day two.
I'm counting on his responsibility to help me get out the door
on time this year.
The Divine Miss Em is off to second grade. It's hard to imagine a child
loving school more than she does. This year she and her best friend
get to be in the same class...yippie!
My big Kindergartner. I sobbed as he headed off into the school.
He didn't even look back. On the second day a Para said, "He sure has a lot of
energy!" Guess everyone is getting to know him around there already.

I will survive without my kids here with me.
I want to embrace each stage of life we are in.
When they are all home and fighting, I think what I want is a quiet house.
It sure is quiet now. But all I can think about is that it's only
an hour and 23 minutes until the noise returns. I can't wait!
And hopefully, in a year or so, I'll have another pal with me all day again.

Missy,
I watched them all week and they were great. Tate has lots of friends at recess and Emmie is the model of good behavior walking through the halls. There were several kindergartners in the office this week and it was never, ever Jack. :) Actually, he was terrific. Compared with a lot of the little ones, he really has his act together.
YOU on the other hand made me cry on Wednesday! Shame on you. ;) Watching you got me going and then 2 other moms started in and I was a mess the whole first hour. If you need someone to cry with, come find me. I never let anyone cry alone!
You should've called me!!! I'd have gone shopping with you, or we could've found some fattening chocolate goodie to make it all better :)
Could you kids be anymore photogenic? Good Grief Charlie Brown! What a GREAT set of pictures!
You know, you could always find the bathroom stall next to mine and we could take turns flushing so that we could cry really loudly and no one would hear us! :-) I have to tell you, too, I just got my computer up and running in my office and I was checking email and stuff the other day when I clicked on your blog and the "I will survive" started blaring through the room! I didn't even know I had speakers on my computer!! TOO FUNNY! :-)e
I feel your pain....my oldest child started school on Thurs. I am so sad! I agree, I even miss the noise and fights. I love having her home with me:(
Cute post....your children are beautiful!!

Oh man, sending my little lady off to kindergarten tomorrow. I am convinced that I'm not going to bawl my eyes out but I have been VERY wrong in this regard before...Your family is is so adorable!!
You are too cute and sweet. I so enjoyed reading about your kids first day of school and how you handled it. :) I found your website through the comment you left on my friend Betina's blog. I will totally be bawling when my youngest starts kindergarten!
Hey there! I gave Sherri my email to give to you! Hopefully you will get it and then we can really chat about fun stuff like homestudies and dossiers and things like that! Looking forward to hearing from you!
