Lulu hasn't commented a lot on skin color. And we haven't either, not wanting to lead her in that, but instead to allow her the joy of discovery. Recently I could tell she was eyeing me. Then she pronounced, "Mom, you're lellow (yellow)." Then looking down at her little arms she said, "And I'm brown." Then she gasped excitedly and said, "Lellow and brown go together!!!"
Indeed they do...
Later she said, "Actually, you are kind of gray." Fair enough, baby.

Out of the mouth of our kiddos....priceless!!!
Oh I LOVE it! She is so precious!!!
Blessings,
Amy
I'm going to go with "rosy" which is also an excellent combo with brown. By the end of summer won't Jack and Tate just about match her?
My kids would beg to differ. THEY are yellow; you are white. : )
And, LittleMister would add that he doesn't get a sunburn because his skin matches the sun.
Oh my goodness, this made me tear up and laugh out loud right away! What preciousness!!
I love this and the photos! I kind of had it the other way around growing up. My mom is from the Philippines and my dad is Caucasian and I don't remember noticing much until I was 7 or8. My mom and I definitely go together, and so do you and Lu!
priceless!
