Africa on our minds...

"Mom, your cold sore kind of looks like Africa."

That made me feel a little better about my eye sore cold sore.
I couldn't zoom in any closer for the "Africa sighting" on my lower lip,
there was way too much girl-mustache and large pore action.
Go ahead, zoom in for yourself and you will sadly see
that this time I am not exaggerating.
One appointment for a lip wax, coming right up!

Speaking of Africa, my sister is on her way to Zambia as we speak.
She says she spent much of her adult life begging God not to send
her to Africa, but in the past year or so has found herself begging Him to let her go.
I'm so excited for her to use her gift of teaching and heart of compassion there.
I have a feeling she will never be the same.
You can check out her team's blog here if you want.

Did I really just put that picture of myself on my blog? I better hit publish
before I lose my nerve...

I have spent much of my life praying God would not send me to Africa, too! It's amazing how God can transform hearts when He wants to.

I'm praying that you get to go to Africa SOON!

How nice am I that I haven't once mentioned your cold sore this week?

Wow, an Africa wound! Now that is impressive. I've only found Africa in a piece of cheese so far. :)

Ouch! My hubby gets those darn cold sores often. He is a huge believer in Abreva. Have you tried it? It's pricey, but he says so worth it!

Funny post!

Ahhh! I hate cold sores! Mine usually take up an entire hemisphere of my lip and I want to lock myself into my house for 2 weeks instead watching people try not to stare at my lip while we talk. I love that you posted this pic...

I once had a cold sore the size of Texas on one and, wait for this....
Africa on THE OTHER LIP.

I had a DOUBLE WHAMMY.

And, guess where I had to go that day/week?

Yup, it was my first day as the BIG BOSS at my new job.

I ALMOST died. Almost.

You be one brave lady :-)

oh lip waxing.

alas, I finally had to tell my fiance the deep dark secrets of my life: the mustache, the arm hair, and the push up bra.

the wedding is still on, so hopefully he wasn't too disappointed.
