Ballet, buns and abs...

The Divine Miss Em had her ballet recital last weekend.
One thing I appreciate about this studio is they make
recitals special, but not so special that you
have to get a second mortgage to participate.
They wore plain pink leotards which I borrowed (thanks Beth)
and homemade skirts from 3 years ago.
Emmie is pictured below(left) with her best friend.
I love that they can share these memories.

One requirement for the recital was to have the girl's hair in a bun.
I was a bit panicky.
I do pony tails. I do pigtails.
But I don't do buns.
Until now.
I kept congratulating myself to pretty much anyone who
would listen about my feat.
Ta-da...

In other news,
the weather has been beautiful.
Jack has been dressing appropriately...

Could spring be here for good?

I vote for spring here for good!

Your daughter looks great! Love those pink leotards! I'd so scrapbook that! Unfortunately, Madison won't do ballet. Maybe Grant will? LOL Where does she go to do her dance? The three years Madison did do it...it seemed expensive.

Is Emma modeling? That photo is precious and so sweet. Conner asked today when he can see Tate again (actually, for not seeing your kids for about 5 years, they ask a lot). I'd love to figure something out! I love you...

You did an awesome job on the bun. I am the same way (I can't do fancy up dos) but come this May I will have to do Madeleine's hair in a bun for her recital. Hopefully hers will turn out as nice as Emma's. :)

question: is Jack wearing shoes? JI refuses to wear shoes when the temps are above 60.

Which studio does their recitals this early in the spring? Any by the way, you did an excellent job on the bun! (You know you can always call me to do those if you have trouble :)...I plan to do Madeleine's for Katie when she and Mia have their recital in May.

Okay so, I am downright jealous of your hairstyling ability. That hair bun is PERFECTION!!!! Seriously....I couldn't do that on my 500th attempt, and you on your first?? Life isn't fair.... :)

Hi, found your blog while looking from some AGCI families close to us on the waiting list. We were #16 for a girl as of March 10th so we are not far behind you and so looking forward to being in the top ten, although things have progressed incredibly fast. Anyway- love your blog esp the over arching "sports" theme. We are also 2 boys and a girl, waiting patiently for our 2nd girl.... I have added you to our "adoption friends" in hopes of following your journey!
