Dear Cesar Millan,

I have a friend who has a dog that has "issues". This friend, we'll call her "Missy", went out of town with her family. While they were gone the dog, we'll call her "Ruby", went on a hunger strike. She also had diarrhea all over the bathroom floor (if only she had made it to the toliet in time!). This poor dogsitter, we'll call her "I'll never want to dogsit for you again", had to clean up the mess and called them with concerns for their poor dogs health. I think "Ruby" was nervous because they went out of town and she didn't have the mistreatment she was used to from their youngest child, we'll call him "Jack". What do you think, dear dog whisperer?

But wait, there's more...after these friends returned home and gave her the love and mistreatment she had been missing there was another incident. "Missy's" husband awoke to find excretement covering the living room floor ("Missy" is really thankful not to be an early riser in such situations). Could this be residual nervousness complicated by loose bowels or is this, as my friends husband suggests, a way for this "Ruby" to spite them for leaving?

As you can see, my friend has enough dysfunction in her family to even trickle down to her pet. Can you help or should I be writing Dr. Phil on her behalf?

Sincerely,
A concerned friend

I know she doesn't look spiteful, but don't let those puppy dog eyes deceive you.
"Missy" has the stained carpet to prove it.

Oh Ruby...as if sniffing the crotch of every guest who has ever entered the house wasn't enough...

Missy...I'll pray for your "frend" :)

I'm sorry..I'm laughing! You see in our household the dog having bowel troubles means that you must be having a visit from the homestudy social worker in the next 48 hrs. Dudley chose to eat and entire tree branch right before our visit...do you know what that does to a dog? Apparently 3 inch splinters working their way through a dog's digestive track causes great pain when exiting, thus causing the dog to run through the house while leaving the worst mess imaginable all over NEW carpeting! I feel your pain :)

hey!

we haven't quite sent in our stuff yet. the homestudy is being held up (not because of us)! it is so frustrating! our homestudy caseworker is having trouble wording things right for the ET government. we are just praying it will be corrected soon! we'll keep you updated since we are your guinea pigs! :)

Don't worry, Ruby. Aunt Ayeah still loves you. You can come live with me. I never go to "destination weddings," "summer assignments," "staff or student retreats," or even on vacations for that matter! I will never give you cause to poop unnecessarily on the carpet. Plus, you'll have your very own teenager to mistreat you.

Lets see, why do I want a dog someday? I am laughing so hard because, as a former dog owner, I can totally relate. Thank goodness they are so darn cute...
