True Confessions

My sisters and I used to love to play "True Confessions". This is when we found out that one sister hid a pie in the garage so she could eat it all herself. I won't name names. We also learned that the drawing my Mom proudly displayed on our fridge for 6 years was drawn by my friend. I erased her name and put mine on it. What a fun game!

I think I need to play it right now...

I'm not used to having cable. Apparently, I'm also not used to practicing self-control because I have stayed up really late nearly every night entranced by both the worthy (the What not to Wear marathon) and the worthless (Tori and Dean's reality show). My heart is being numbed and it's not healthy for my marriage or family life.

I have access to a work out facility. I've been once in two and a half weeks. Hardly a healthy lifestyle.

We are waiting on a check to arrive, so we can send it in to our agency and officially become clients. I am already impatient in the first months of an 18 month process. This is not a good sign.

But, my truest confession of all gives me hope and the power to change... Jesus is all I need. And maybe some Crest White-Strips.

We know ALL about praying for things to come in the mail. We will be praying that check comes SOON...but in the Lord's time. Pretty much, waiting sometimes really stinks. Yet, God is rarely early & never late.

Oh, and...put down the remote! : )

Love the true confessions, keep them coming :) they endear me to you even more-you are a real, caring, loving friend (and who couldn't use some crest white strips anyway).

Hi Missy,
I am so glad you are blogging about your life because it really helps us to feel like you are still here. There is at least one in my family (probably more than that) that can not wait for you to get home quick! BTW, Dalton loves to read about you guys and was especially fascinated by the fact the Jack "gets to" sleep in the closet! I recently learned that the only real reason that my child likes to go to grandma's house is because she has cable television...but now he's let the cat out of the bag so I know his tricks.

I can say that I am trying to not find the selfishness of praying for your safe (and quick!) return. Missing you!

You're right. Cable, by and large, is bad. We should all find better things to do with our time and minds.

However, I think "John and Kate Plus Eight" should be excused, don't you? Please?

Also, I think it was nice of your sister to save you all from the pie. What a sacrificial gal she must be. :)

Hey Missy
Its Maria (VOke) Kristiansen. I am assuming that you are adopting? Is that right?
I saw your name on Scott & Kira's blog and wanted to say hello. Your kids are beautiful!

Here's some true confessions :
I wear running shoes (but I don't run - it's to throw people off)

I also like High School Musical, HSM2 and Hannah Montana - beat that!

My license says I'm 4'10" but I'm really 4'7" I figure the police man can't tell when I'm sitting down.

I'm addicted to Guitar Hero which is funny cause I was originally lobbying to have it permanently removed from my home.

One of my favorite foods is Mac and Cheese - Kraft thank you very much!

There's just a few. :). Good times, good times!
