Happy hearts, heavy hearts

Yesterday was a good mail day. The checks came that we've been waiting for and so I no longer have ill feelings toward the US Postal Service. For now. And today, we sent our contracts into our agency, so we will hopefully be official clients very soon.

But even as we are rejoicing at the thought of welcoming another child through adoption, our dear friends Scott and Kira had to say goodbye to their 1 day old son, Jacob. We have prayed for little Jacob for months now. Sweet little Jacob will not be welcomed into Scott and Kira's home, but instead into the arms of the Father. If you think to pray for this precious family, I know they could really use it in this dark time.

I don't feel much like celebrating. But I do feel like praying...

Hello,
We too are adopting from Ethiopia with AGCI. We love AGCI!! I love seeing all these families that love children and adoption. Nice to "meet" you!
My heart is breaking for your friends that lost there baby. I will pray for them. I can't even imagine the pain. I am thankful that we serve a God that knows the pain (He gave is Son) and is always here for us.
I will follow your journey to Ethiopia.

so sorry to hear about your friends...have you heard about the audreycaroline blog? www.audreycaroline.blogspot.com. she is going through a similar situation and she is amazingly transparent and open about the heartache. she is also a woman who loves Jesus with a passion. it may be helpful.

we are excited to hear you are moving forward! it is so fun to have someone in exactly the same place as us! yay!

Yay! Your on your way :) I will pray for your friends, I am so sorry. I can think of nothing worse than burying your child. Only God can bring the comfort and healing that they need. And He will...In His Time.
