the first order of business in re-decorating were the boys' rooms. that was a must since jack's room was pastel pink and pale green and tate's was well, just take a look for yourself...
he tried to man it up, but there's nothin' you can do with that but have some fun. all the princesses have gone now and this is where we are now...
we'll be adding this tapestry to the wall and curtains like these to spice things up a bit.
we've arranged and re-arranged many times over and i'm still not sure about what we have. i don't like the bed in front of the window, but it's hard with the bed and the futon in the room. any ideas? my sisters know it is their god-given responsibility to advise me on such things, but I would welcome any input you have as well.
now if we could keep it looking more like the above picture rather than like the teenage boy room that it usually looks like...
to be fair, i should admit that my room currently looks like this...
i could definitely use a fairy godmother right now. or better yet, cinderella in her pre-princess state!

I need a picture of that other wall to give you better ideas. I think I see a book case? You could put the book case against the wall the door opens to. Then put the futon against the wall where the book case was. THEN you put the bed against the wall at the far side of the room (against tapestry as a "head board") with the foot of the bed facing the bookcase. The bed probably won't be centered (due to the futon) but the room will have a better laid out feel and won't be so awkward when you open the door.
ahaha! Love the girly room picks!
I found this on the Orlando craigslist:

Can't wait to see it all finished...love what you've done so far and what you have ordered as well!!!
Love the tapestry & curtains!!!
Love the tapestry! J just asked this week if he could have a globe, and I suggested a map for his wall instead. Maybe I should look for something like this but with a little more detail. Hope you're all settling into the school routine and doing well.
I LOVE THOSE PICTURES OF TATE! That's some darned good humor there.
Im also completely obsessed with acid-stained concrete! There are some pretty good tutorials out there, including what I call the lazy way which doesnt involve sanding or patching ... however I'm not sure that would work after pulling up tile. As for cleaning the tile, get one of those Shark steam thingermajiggers. I have a carpet shampooer that also works on hard surfaces and it works aight.
Cute pictures! I LOVE that tapestry (and may need to copy you once again...)
