i'm not just faking you out this time.
i'm not a bigtime blogger. this blog is for me and my family and anyone out there is invited along for the ride. but i have to be honest and admit that i'm the kind of girl that likes an audience. and the bigger the better. (i'm also the kind of girl who still refers to myself as a "girl" at age 40, btw.) that being said, i am not doing this giveaway to improve my readership.
i just finished reading this...

and it shook me up a wee little bit. which is a really, really good thing. so i would love to get a copy into one of my lovely bloggy friends hands in the hopes that it might shake you up a bit as well. just leave a comment telling me one of the most radical things you have ever done (does not have to be spiritual). the winner will be chosen my a random generator. just so you know, random generator=jack flipping through comments until, with my eyes closed, yell "STOP!". like i said, i am not a bigtime blogger.
so leave a comment (you don't even have to write the most radical thing you've done, it is just for my pleasure) and then i'll contact you and get your address so i can ship the book off to you. bear in mind, i am terrible with details and do everything late so this will be a good opportunity for me to develop in these areas. either that, or you will receive your book sometime in mid-november.

Radical...Left Boston and moved to Nebraska, a place not many New Englanders would dare venture. More radical...leaving on a month long trip to Siberia on Wednesday to finish the adoption of our son.
This is a great giveaway!! I LOVED the book. It will be sure to step on anyone's toes. ;)
I have dreams of doing something Radical... like adopting more children, but time will tell. No need to put me into the drawing since I already have the book. ;)
When I was in Spain I went skinny dipping in the Mediterranean Sea (bra and panties)...and then I stepped on a spine fish in what we later realized was not an approved swimming zone. So that little adventure landed me in another radical experience- visiting a Spanish doctor to get porcupine like spines removed from the bottom of my foot!
I don't need the book since a dear friend sent me one as a Christmas gift. However, three things...
1. I think you will be a bigtime blogger at some point. Your writing...witty sense of humor blended with deep honesty combined with your love for the Lord and others will draw them in. Sort of an 'if you write it, they will come' kind of thing.
2. While I'm only 10 pages into the book, I've already quoted it at least three times to three different people. I'm excited and nervous for what the Lord will reveal to me through this.
3. Most radical thing we've done is to move from Ohio to Indiana leaving a good job so my husband could be a 'volunteer coach' at a division I school. With a 6 month old and my desire for security I knew it was His plan because I felt peace from the Lord.
Miss you!
Yes please Yes Please!
My family is adopting a sibling group of 2 or 3 from Ethiopia! {waiting 3 months 17 days for our referral} We also got the opportunity to make dresses for Ethiopian Orphan Relief, this fall. My mom, sisters, and I made 154!
Our family has grown to love Ethiopia's people and culture and we are praying that enough money through fund-raising will come in for us all to make it there for our court date. {If I may say, taking a family of 7 all the way to Ethiopia, to meet more siblings is pretty radical}
I also want to do everything I can for Ethiopian orphans and widows now and when I am older. A dream of mine would be to have an "orphanage" {I want it to be more personal then just any orphanage, like a big family, with a "house moms" and "house dads"}
I know me, my parents and sisters will LOVE this book!

Ok, I am going to read this book, even if I don't win it. It sounds just up my alley. I could use some shaking. :)
The most radical thing I've ever done...hmmm...let's see..
..having kids. Most definitely.
We already have the book and it was awesome...so don't put me in the drawing. But I must say that following the Kollar blog is always Radical! Especially when it comes with an ABBA song. Radical, the Kollars, and ABBA. Now that's livin.
yea! I need a good book. I skinny dipped in the Mediterranean Sea. Twice.
Mine would be the same as Jenni's...but in an AZ state park in the middle of the day.
And I am very intrigued by this book! Thanks, Missy, for offering it. :-)
I'm kinda scared to read this book, but it sounds GREAT!!! Hmmm...most radical thing I've ever done... Well, you know me.....pretty conservative - no skinny dipping for me. I'd have to say homeschooling 4 kids and how much I've had to depend on the Lord with all that is involved with that. It's been a pretty great adventure, though.
I've underlined something on every page of this book! It helped to affirm everything God has called us to overseas.
I'm not actually sure I want to read that book which is probably a sign that I should.
My freshman year in college I climbed down a fireman's ladder in my underwear with a spotlight on my butt as part of a fraternity tradition.
No I am not proud.
Moving to Canada is the most radical through an American's eyes, but through a Canadian's eyes the most radical would be that I'm a stay at home mom, and I homeschool. "What's that?!" everyone here says.
I have been dying to read this book! Yay! I hope you pick me!
(Radical thing: Cancelled ivy league grad school admission to live out of a car and drive around the country. 13-years later......still trying to finish grad school. Who's laughing now? Not me!:)
I worked teaching English at a prison to make enough money to go on a trip to Washington, DC.
Spending 4 months volunteering in an orphanage in ET, because I want to experience the culture of my (someday, when I am married) child/ren. :)
Here thanks to Mindee...I am going to nose around, hope you don't mind :) Most radical thing...Training for a 5K when I have never run in my life.
my teen years definitely would be ruled radical by some (like my parents), but i think stupid would be more accurate. most radical in in my mind: running 26.2 miles in a row on purpose or having a second child after barely surviving my first colicky bear. so glad we did, though! :)
I have been wanting to read this book! Most radical thing I've ever done . . . going on a mission trip to Alaska with a group of total strangers! ~Michelle
I need to read this book!
Unfortunately, my life is not Radical. Which is even more reason that I should read this book. I often dream about moving to another country. I want to be like Katie from Amazima Ministries. (http://kissesfrom katie.blogspot.com)
I would love to read this book - as I am trying to figure out how to still live "radically" when our adoption dream didn't turn out as planned. Still seeking out "radical" living & trusting that God is ruling over it all. Glad to see you are blogging away. Love to your family!
I've heard so many things about this book lately! And we're starting a book club next month and this would be perfect for me to bring. Hmmm. So just pick me. You know, "randomly". Hehe. And according to my beloved hubband, most everything I do is radical. Sometimes I'd agree. Life is just so much more fun that way. I do think I could be radicaler. More radical. Whatever.
What a great giveaway! I haven't read that book yet, but its on my "must read" list. Sometimes we NEED a little shaking.
Packed my bags with only a few dollars in my pocket and left everything that I have known as home, family and friends and moved to a different continent and culture.
