Ready or Not

We are both ready and not.

We are ready to meet our sweet girl. We are ready for her to have a family and so happy that we get to be that family. We are ready to see who we are to become as a family with her addition. Our hearts are so full of love for this little creature that it surpasses any earthly understanding. We are ready to hold this hand...

In these ways, we are ready. We are more than ready to love Lulu.

However, we are not ready in many other ways. First, we are away from home and will not return until 6 days before we fly to Ethiopia. This limits preparedness, I have found. Second, we have not purchased one pack of diapers. No crib set up. No onesies, for pete's sake (who is Pete anyway?)! And third, this ancient momma is really rusty on how to prepare a bottle or change a diaper. It's like riding a bike, right?

The good news is I am delaying the frenzy because there is very little we can do until we return home. The better news is that we have several sweet friends and family that have offered to enter into that frenzy with us. Who am I kidding, though? We have a fair amount of chaos surrounding our family regardless of the circumstances. All those in agreement say "Aye".

Praying it will go very smoothly. She is such a blessed little girl. :)

The frenzy will just make the time go by faster before you go meet your little girl. I don't know about you, but I work best under pressure anyway.

If I hadn't yet seen pictures in real life of your precious Luci, I'd be going crazy with your cropped photos!! : ) She's absolutely PERFECT!

And, yep, craziness abounds. And, it only gets worse before it gets better. I already have things in the freezer for you guys...for the few days you're home getting ready.

: ) I must admit...it's "fun" hearing about your craziness knowing that I probably sounded & acted very similarly not that long ago.

Our love & prayers as the days go by....

Ahh...you'll be ready once they put her in your arms. I had a huge gap between my kids and the diaper thing comes naturally. The good news for you...no getting your body back in shape from a c-section or regular delivery. That's the awesome part! You'll be a mile ahead of those who had to do that!

Oh, I survived my procedure today...easy!

Aye... I am continually amazed at your ability to keep everything going in your family. I feel exhausted just hearing about your life.
Do you need a pack-n-play? We have two.
And you know, you show up in Lincoln with a baby and the diapers, wipes, onesies, bottles, etc. will take care of themselves.

Aww, we didn't name our blog Keesler Chaos for nuthin! We all live in the middle of a twirling tornado some days. Make a list and post it! We can divide it up and get 'er done!

I can't wait to see all of her! Embrace the chaos, all of it! It is an essential part of a four kid family- at least that is what my mom told me....

Can I just say that I am READY for ALL of the above..the hand holding, the kissing, the bottles, the diapers, the crib set-up...whatever. Give me laundry to do, for Pete's sake! I AM READY!!!
